Angela Vs. the Big Bad

I suppose the whole December 2012 thing is to blame for much of the talk about the end of the world these days. Seems like that sort of thing is just about everywhere. I was in the bookstore over the weekend and spotted at least a dozen new titles about everything from Armageddon to the Earth’s poles being reversed. Crazy stuff, that.
I also caught the newest post-Apocalyptic movie over the weekend. Not usually my thing, but I really like Denzel Washington. The movie was decent enough, but the real action took place in the theater itself. When the projector broke.
What happened next can be found over at katdish’s blog today. It made me feel a little better about both the state of our world and our ability to endure whatever Big Bad comes our way. Because in the end we won’t need leaders or muscle-bound heroes. As long as we have people like Angela, I think we’ll be just fine.

This is going to be one of my all time favorite posts. I loved loved loved it.
Of course it doesn’t hurt that I aspire to be ponytail lady every day of my life. ;D
It does seem that there is a certain obsessions over the “end of the world.”
Perhaps it’s because we “See the signs” but really don’t know what they mean
“You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times” (Matthew 16:3 NIV).
We know what’s coming. Should we be more vocal about it?

This scenario is all to familiar since I’ve been in the exact position as Ponytail Girl far too many times. Not pleasant to be abandoned publicly by your boss in a theatre full of confused, irritated and sometimes irate customers. I don’t think I handled it as well as she did, though. Talking isn’t my forte. Kudos to Angela. I strive to be more like her!
And from having a theatre background, I must say, you described that situation to a T!
Happy Monday!

Yeah, striving to be more like Angela. I really like Denzel too.
